Add Value In Business

I am always trying to read books on becoming a better business person and just a better person in general. I do believe that in business and in life you are either growing or you are shrinking, there is no maintaining status quo. So the biggest motivational speaker, self-help and business coach, Tony Robbins put on a free three day seminar that I was curious to check out. I was impressed with how beautifully obscure and unique the concepts were that Tony was discussing.

I learned many things, but one thing I wanted to share in this blog is the recommendation when conceptualizing a business is to not focus on the strategy of the business, but instead focus on adding as much value in the business you are bringing to your customers. I have always dreamed of owning a business and have tried to do so my whole life. However, I have lost steam because after being overwhelmed by everything it takes to move a business forward I lose confidence to do so. Then in Tony’s seminar he recommended focusing on adding as much value into a business before determining the strategy.

I had a small idea that I never did anything else, but I started to think about how I could add to it to add more and more value. Every time I think about adding value to my future clients the more excited I get. I feel like the strategy will take care of itself because the end result is leading to value maximization. It also tells me internally that I have to move forward with this business idea because I am going to bring these clients so much value that I have to bring this concept to market. I am now growing in excitement, versus an initial idea I had where I decline in excitement due to being overwhelmed by all of the tasks needed to support the strategy.

Will this result in a successful business? I do not know and I don’t care. I have a responsibility to try and bring this value to the market, and I feel better and better in doing it. I know that I have value in me, and the more I focus on bringing value to others the more successful that we both get to be. Thank you Tony for changing my trajectory. Just as I hope that these blogs help you too.
