Get Up Early and Accomplish More

In life you cannot handle everything that happens to you. You can only handle how you respond and how you carry yourself. I highly recommend trying to wake up early to have a stronger and wider impact over what you can control. That has been a part of my New Year’s Resolution that falls under my goal of being more uncomfortable.

The reason for wanting to be more uncomfortable is because I want to accomplish more in my life. Part of why that is is because I was having the most fun hanging out with my wife until late at night, then waking up around 7 am, and then going to work. While that was great I knew that in order to accomplish more I was going to have to push myself.

So now I wake up at 5:45 am every day. Not such an outrageous change that I can’t sustain it, but enough of a change to let me see the benefit. As a result, I get some really nice quite time in the morning, and then get to workout or work on this website or sometimes both. I have written in an earlier post that working out every day is part of living a positive life. So getting my work out in before work already lets me mark the day down as a positive, and then if I work on this website before work I accomplished a goal as well. This means that I am already two tasks ahead of accomplishment compared to my previous schedule that didn’t start progress until I started my regular job.

The opportunity to get an extra couple hours of productivity into my day has been huge, and I hope you are able to take advantage to. I also think that the coffee helps me with a little bit of extra energy to elevate my productivity. Being productive is positive!
